A spell of 18 weeks has worked wonders for this well named daughter of Lonhro, who blitzed them to win by five lengths at Kilmore on Friday.
A homebred for Darley, prepared by Peter Snowden, Fratianne made a mess of her 12 rivals, beginning smartly before forging to the lead and finding another gear in the straight.
She zoomed to the line to win the 1200 metre maiden in a breeze, the race caller declaring Fratianne was 'in a world of her own'.
It was the third start for Fratianne, who is a half-sister to stakes-placed Palm Trilogy being one of five winners from Group III placed Dubai Ice, a daughter of dual Group I winner and multiple stakes producer Skating.
Fratianne featured in a horse naming story we did on Breednet at the start of last season as she is named for champion US figure skater Linda Fratianne, who was the darling of the ice in the late seventies, early eighties.
Dubai Ice has already foaled for Darley this spring producing a filly by New Approach (IRE).
Fratianne is the 44th Australian winner this season for Lonhro(pictured) , who is setting the pace for leading Australian sire by winners.
