Juvenile stakes racing kicks off in Sydney this Saturday with the Listed ATC Breeders Plate and Gimcrack Stakes at Randwick, with Sale Mail for these races available here.

A $145,000 Magic Millions purchase for Star Thoroughbreds from the Patinack Farm draft, the Gai Waterhouse trained Whittington (pictured left) is from Tasmanian Oaks winner Maha Chakri.
The most expensive runner in the race is another of the Waterhouse team in War, a $500,000 Inglis Easter purchase for James Bester and Demi O'Byrne on behalf of Coolmore from the Strawberry Hill Stud draft .
A three-quarter brother in blood to champion mare More Joyous, he is by More Than Ready (USA) from the Zabeel mare Deedra, who is a half-sister to Group I AJC Australian Oaks winner Sunday Joy (dam of More Joyous).
