Snitzel
has been riding the crest of a winning wave in the last few days following up
on a double at Moonee Valley last Friday night with another double at Randwick
on Monday.
Gerald Ryan is the 'King of the Snitzels' and was back in the winner's circle
with another of his progeny after Snitsky posted his fourth win from eight
starts in the restricted event over 1400 metres.
A $55,000 Magic Millions purchase for Darby Bloodstock from the Bellerive Stud
draft, Snitsky has won in excess of $80,000 in prizemoney and is one of two
winners form the Japanese bred Dehere mare Bandolera.
Snitzel posted his second winner of the day when the Clarry Conners trained mare
Debelle scored in the Benchmark 80 event 1150 metres.
She did best in a close finish to win by half a head and had to withstand a
protest from runner-up Rumour and Scandal before being declared the winner.
A $90,000 Inglis Premier purchase from the Bellerive Stud draft, Debelle has
won over $170,000 in prizemoney and is from Olivia de Belle, a daughter of New
Zealand Group I winner Silver Chalice.
Snitzel (pictured) is covering a full book at Arrowfield this spring at a fee of $33,000.
