Colts by
Magic Albert and Ready's Image dominated the Magic Millions HIT Sale trials at
Seymour last Wednesday.
The precocious pair were the standouts among the 88 breeze-up times released by
Magic Millions.
Magic Albert's colt from Dance Maiden (Lot 92) flew over 200 metres in 10.28
seconds and the Ready's Image - Stage Revue colt (Lot 333) was just as
impressive clocking 10.29 seconds.
Next best at the Victorian provincial course was a Danehill Express filly who was
timed at 10.46s. The 2012 Magic Millions Horses in Training Sale is
scheduled for October 31 and November 1 at the Gold Coast.
Yarraman Park based Magic Albert is a proven sire of stake winners and Lincoln
Farm freshman Ready's Image has signalled he could be the next sprinting
stallion to emerge from the Hunter Valley.
Ready's Image (pictured) shuttles from Walmac Farm in Kentucky to Lincoln Farm which is
situated just north of Scone. He is a G2 winning son of More Than Ready
and has already sired five first-crop winners in the USA this year.
The Ready's Image flyer has been catalogued by Laceby Lodge and studmaster Mike
Gibson said the colt is a very exciting prospect. "He was nowhere near
flat-out at Seymour," Gibson claimed. "I know it sounds silly, but the
rider jumped off and said there was more a lot more in reserve."
The colt's dam Stage Revue (Snippets) was a Doomben 2YO winner and hails from
the family of Champion Australian Filly Stage Hit (Century). "He's a
lovely-bodied horse and a real athlete," Gibson explained. "His wither is
just popping out – there's still plenty of growth to come."
Lincoln Farm owner Nick Posa is standing Ready's Image for a $5,500 service fee
this year.
