Yarraman
Park's young stallion Hinchinbrook has had the stars align in the past 12
months, his sire Fastnet Rock now the reigning Champion Australian Sire by
earnings for 2011/2012 and his three-quarter brother Snitzel, the leading third
season sire, so there is much anticipation surrounding the arrival of his first
foals.
One of the first to hit the ground this spring at Yarraman Park is this playful
bay colt born on August 5 from Group III WATC Roma Cup winner Is Amazing. (all images Georgina Lomax Photography)

He is the third foal of Is Amazing, who comes from a terrific Black Type family
featuring Group I VRC Salinger Stakes winner Ancient Song and Group II AJC Villiers
Stakes winner Dances on Waves.
Foaled and raised at Yarraman Park himself , Hinchinbrook has always been earmarked
as stallion potential from the day he was born by Arthur and Harry Mitchell and
has lived up to expectation at every turn so far.
Hinchinbrook covered 119 mares in his first season at a fee of $16,500 and his
book for this year was closed some time ago as breeders flocked early to take
advantage of a young stallion whose stocks were clearly on the rise.

Yarraman Park will have our open day on Sunday August 26 from 9.30 am with all
visitors welcome to inspect the stallions – Hinchinbrook (pictured above), I Am Invincible and
of course Magic Albert.
