Leading trainer Gai Waterhouse has Tweeted a picture of the full sister to champion mare More Joyous, which was born last night.
The chestnut filly by More Than Ready (USA) is the sixth foal for Group I AJC Australian Oaks winner Sunday Joy, who is the jewel in the crown of the stellar broodmare band at John Singleton's Strawberry Hill Stud.
The current two year-old from Sunday Joy is another chestnut More Than Ready filly who is currently in work with Gai Waterhouse and was snapped at the track earlier this week by Caroline Searcy.
Her name, for those readers keen to follow her progress, is Most Joyful.
In other news for this most popular of thoroughbred families, the three year-old Redoute's Choice colt from Sunday Joy, $1,150,000 Magic Millions purchase called Laughing Lad, was seen in action at Cranbourne today.
The Peter Moody trained colt became bogged down in the heavy 10 conditions and toiled into fourth place in the 1400 metre maiden at his second start.
