The
first foal photo for 2012 has arrived at Breednet and he's also the first foal
for his mum.
Well known bloodstock agent Anton Koolman has sent in a picture of this new
arrival at Royston Stud in Queensland, a brown colt by the stakes-winning
Zabeel stallion Cheval de Troy from young Hidden Dragon mare Snap Dragons.
Photographed when just a day old, the colt is the first foal for Snap Dragons, who is a full sister to recent
smart Hong Kong winner Dragimova from the family of Cox Plate winner Pinker
Pinker.
The oldest progeny of Cheval de Troy are about to turn four and from limited
numbers he is the sire of three winners and two place-getters in Queensland
from just nine runners.
Cheval
De Troy stands at Royston Stud in Beaudesert under the care of Queensland
studmaster Tim Farris, a New Zealander, who is looking forward to his
second season in the sunshine state.
