Makybe Stud's Purrealist has had a change of venue this season and will stand at Chatswood Stud this spring, the young son of Tale of the Cat (USA) represented by his fifth winner at Seymour on Thursday in the shape of the David Hayes trained Purrfect Cocktail.
Driven forward by Craig Newitt from a wide gate, Purrfect Cocktail sat outside the leader and then found the line strongly in the straight to surge clear and beat older horses by a length in the 1309 metre maiden at his second start.
Retained to race by his breeders, Purrfect Cocktail is the third winner from Cocktail Evening, a half-sister by Jeune (GB) to stakes-winner Reigning Belle.
A half-brother to champion miler Racing to Win, Purrealist has had five winners and five place-getters from 23 runners this season including city winners Pure Hustle, Pure Whisper and Anjea and stands at a fee of $8,800.
