Christian Reith will partner Rain Affair in Saturday's Group I All Aged Stakes (1400m) at Randwick.
Reith steered the son of Commands to victory at Canterbury last May. Pride said following the race that Reith would be "first reserve" should Rain Affair's regular rider, Corey Brown, not be available.
Brown was suspended for careless riding when partnering Rain Affair in the T J Smith Stakes on April 14 and lost a subsequent appeal.
Saturday's All Aged Stakes is the likely target for unbeaten filly Atlantic Jewel following her breathtaking win in the Sapphire Stakes.
Trainer Mark Kavanagh said the daughter of Fastnet Rock could also run in Saturday's Group II Emancipation Stakes (1600m) at Randwick.
