First Winner for Wanted

Tara Madgwick - Sunday April 13
It's been a long time coming, but Group I VRC Newmarket Handicap winner Wanted has at last posted his first winner with Rough Justice saluting on debut at Terang on Sunday.

WantedA homebred for Contract Racing, Rough Justice is prepared by Matt Ellerton and Simon Zahra and looked a promising type when coasting home to win by more than a length over 1000 metres.

A half-brother to Group III winner Big Chill and stakes-winner Utah Saints, Rough Justice is the seventh winner from terrific producer Hard Rider, a stakes-placed daughter of Maroof (USA).

Wanted has had just eight runners to date with place-getters Francesco and Commissar, his best until the emergence of Rough Justice.

As a Group I winning son of Fastnet Rock, Eliza Park based Wanted has been very popular with breeders and they will be pleased to see him with a winner on the board.
