A five year-old gelding with earnings topping $4million, Overpass contested the Everest last year finishing sixth to Giga Kick, but got a lot closer to that rival at the end of the season finishing second to him beaten half a length in the Group I BRC Doomben 10,000 in May.

Overpass was a bargain $75,000 Inglis Easter purchase for Darby Racing / Will Johnson Bloodstock from the Corumbene Stud draft and has a large ownership group that will be over the moon to be heading back to Randwick on Everest day!

Overpass was a modest $75,000 Inglis Easter purchase.

There are now seven of 12 slots filled for The Everest with other confirmed horses being Giga Kick, I Wish I Win, Mazu, Think About It, Sunshine in Paris, Private Eye and now Overpass.
