Speedy
Reward for Effort filly Petite's Reward made it three wins from six starts when
saluting at Moonee Valley on Friday night.
Taking on older mares in the Benchmark 70 sprint over 1000 metres, she overcame
drawing the extreme outside gate to score a determined nose win.
Retained to race by her breeder, the Brendan McCarthy trained Petite's Reward has
wonover $65,000 in prizemoney.
She is the first winner for metropolitan winning Brief Truce (USA) mare Petite
Briefs, who comes from the family of Group I winners Spartacus and Wonderful
World.
Petite's Reward is one of 13 winners this season for Chatswood Stud based Blue
