This
blue-blooded daughter of ill-fated High Chaparral (IRE) carried the Coolmore
navy to an impressive debut win at Geelong on Tuesday.
Prepared by David Hayes and Tom Dabernig, Sacred Eye enjoyed a good run from
gate three and powered away to win the 1300 metre maiden by more than three
lengths as favourite.
Entered for the Group I MRC Thousand Guineas, Sacred Eye is a filly with the
potential to run further than that with the VRC Oaks seeming an obvious goal.
A $270,000 Magic Millions purchase for BBA Ireland from the Coolmore draft,
Sacred Eye is the second winner for royally bred Group III winning Rock of
Gibraltar (IRE) mare Musidora.
Musidora is a grand-daughter of influential stakes-winner Grand Luxe, whose many
superior descendants include the likes of champion sires Flying Spur and Encosta
de Lago as well as recent European Group I winner Erupt.
Musidora has a yearling filly by Pierro and will foal again to him this spring.
