Third Stakes-Winner for Canford Cliffs

Tara Madgwick - Sunday August 2
Blue Gum Farm's high achieving young shuttler Canford Cliffs (IRE) added a third stakes-winner to his tally when two year-old filly Aktoria won the Listed Prix Six Perfections at Deauville in France overnight.

Canford CliffsPlaced in three of her four previous starts, Aktoria broke through to win the seven furlong race by a length and a quarter as favourite for the Carlos Laffon-Parias stable.

A half-sister to Group II placed Galaktea, she is the best of six winners from Zafonic mare Granadilla.

Aktoria is the 18th first crop winner for Canford Cliffs, who also tasted success at Newmarket where two year-old filly Holy Grail won her second race from four starts.

A five-time Group I winner Canford Cliffs returns to Blue Gum Farm at a fee of $13,750 and will have his first Australian runners this season.
