Eliza Park International have had to wait a while for their Group I VRC Newmarket Handicap winner Wanted to get the job done, but he did so at last with progressive two year-old Dead or Alive winning the Listed SAJC Oaklands Plate at Morphettville.

Three Bridges Thoroughbreds chose Stryker as their foundation sire and the Group III winning son of Fastnet Rock has done a great job off an $11,000 fee, siring five winners, plus two stakes-placegetters from 14 runners headed by promising two year-old filly Strykum, winner of the Listed SAJC Queen Adelaide Stakes.

Glenlogan Park's Rothesay, a Group II winning son of Fastnet Rock, also has his first two year-olds competing this season with four winners to date including In His Stride, who ran second in the Listed BRC Dalrello Stakes at Toowoomba on Saturday.
His turn to sire a stakes-winner may not be far off with smart filly Shadow Lawn a likely prospect.
The fortunes of Fastnet Rock as a sire of sires may well be on the rise with his two brilliant sons Foxwedge and Smart Missile making a big impression at yearling sales this year and their progeny anticipated to make their mark on the track next season.
Fastnet Rock had no fewer than 10 sons at stud last year according to Australian Studbook with another Group I winning son in Rock 'n' Pop at Waikato Stud in New Zealand, while Group and stakes-winning sons Cluster, Hvasstan and Rock Hero are set to follow this spring.
Their progress will be interesting given not all successful stallions go on to be sires of sires.
In recent years, many studmasters jumped aboard the bandwagon first to have sons of Hussonet (USA) and then sons of Red Ransom (USA), both seen as ideal candidates to get stallions that would work well with the Danehill blood.
A few years down the track though and results on the whole from those experiments would not been seen as hugely successful.
