I
Am Invincible posted his 11th two year-old winner this season at
Bendigo on Friday when the Peter Moody trained colt Invincible Knight scored a
dominant win.
A close up seventh at his second start beaten just two and a half lengths in
the Listed VRC Anzac Day Stakes, Invincible Knight was a very short priced
favourite for this 1600 metre maiden and ran accordingly.
He forged clear to win by two and a quarter lengths and has many more wins in
store.
A $140,000 Inglis Premier purchase for Bill Mitchell Bloodstock from the draft
of Bell River Thoroughbreds, Invincible Knight is the fourth winner from four
to race from metropolitan winning Encosta de Lago mare Luminary, whose dam is a
sister to Group I winner Alcove.
The win of Invincible Knight has boosted I Am Invincible to a clear third on
the Australian Two Year Old Sires List by winners behind only Snitzel (13) and
Exceed and Excel (12).
I Am Invincible has had a fee increase this year and stands at $55,000 at
Yarraman Park.
