Foxwedge Flyers Find Favour at Premier

Tara Madgwick - Monday March 2
Established sire Snitzel might have had the top seller at Sunday's strong opening first session of the 2015 Inglis Premier Yearling Sale in Melbourne, but it was Newgate Farm's exciting first season sire Foxwedge that had people talking and bids flying.

Snitzel set the pace for the day with his filly from Belle of the City fetching $560,000 for Yallambee Stud when secured by South African trainer Brett Crawford, but Foxwedge was not far behind with the second highest priced offering.

His top seller was this stunning filly from Carlton Show that made $340,000 for Supreme Thoroughbreds when bought by South African trainer Joey Ramsden.
