Diamond winner Reward for Effort posted his fourth winner on Wednesday when two
year-old filly Jevilla scored a debut victory at Ascot in Perth.
Trained by Elva Van Merwyk, Jevilla led throughout and held on in a thrilling
finish to win the 1000 metre scamper by a head.
A $26,000 Magic Millions Perth purchase from the Gold Front Thoroughbreds
draft, Jevilla is the fourth winner for Princess Baxaar, a half-sister by Xaar
(GB) to Hong Kong stakes-winner Sapelli.
Jevilla is the fourth winner from 11 runners for young Exceed and Excel
stallion Reward for Effort, who has 29 entries for the 2015 Inglis Premier Yearling
