Invincible Winner Shows Promise

Tara Madgwick - Thursday December 11
Exciting young sire I Am Invincible was in the frame at Sandown on Wednesday when the Peter Moody trained colt Roundabout scored his second impressive win.

RoundaboutUnlucky when beaten a short head at Kyneton when resuming from a spell on November 5, Roundabout broke his maiden with a big win at Sandown last month and repeated the performance in Benchmark 64 company.

Sent out favourite in the big field of 15, he was always travelling like a winner for Luke Nolen and strode clear when asked to win the 1400 metre contest by more than two lengths.

Roundabout was passed in shy of a modest $35,000 reserve at Magic Millions when consigned by Attunga Stud and was retained to race by his breeders, who look to have a nice horse on their hands with four placings and two wins from just seven starts.

He is the second winner for metropolitan winning Encosta de Lago mare Fidele, who comes from the family of grey Group winners Simply Believe and Faith Hill, who trace back to the imported grey Group I winner Pure of Heart (IRE), who won the STC George Ryder Stakes back in 1982.

Roundabout is another bright prospect for leading Australian Second Season Sire I Am Invincible, who has 31 entries for the 2015 Magic Millions in January.
