Impressive Winner Sold by Macleay Thoroughbreds

A dominant 10 length win by Luck's A Fortune in the Art Series Hotel Group Handicap over 3000 m at Moonee Valley on Friday night once again showed that astute owners and trainers cannot afford to miss the Magic Millions Tasmanian Yearling Sale on 12th February 2015. 

Bred by Geoff and Jenny Watson's Macleay Thoroughbred Stud and sold to the late Bryan Muschialli at the 2011 Tasmanian Sale for $15,000, Luck's A Fortune (5g Clangalang x Tambalara) has now won four races and over $120,000 in stakes.

Luck's A Fortune's win is another in a long list of Tasmanian bred winners over the Spring. 

They include The Cleaner, MVRC Dato Tan Chin Nam S (Gr 2), JRA Cup (Gr 2), etc., Like A Carousel, Sandown's Harry White Classic (L), and placings in Geelong Cup and Sandown Cup, Bunchloch, winner of Hamilton Cup and Murtoa Cup, also Kenjorwood and Happy as Hell to name a few. 

With it's fertile soils, clean water and air, Tasmania continues to be a source of tough, sound gallopers.
