Thoroughbreds and Gai Waterhouse combined early in the day at Randwick on Wednesday
to win with promising Charge Forward three year-old Confederate, a $50,000
Magic Millions purchase from the draft of boutique South Coast nursery Bell
View Park.
A winner on debut at Hawkesbury back in August, Confederate was second when
resuming from a spell two weeks ago and showed the benefit of that hit out to
lead throughout and win over 1150 metres for Winona Costin.
"He's a nice horse that's only had three starts for two wins," said stable representative
Mark Newnham.
"He's a good honest horse that makes his own luck, so there will be more wins
in store for him."
Bred by Bell View Park in partnership, Confederate is the first winner for placed

Year Let's Elope, who won the Group I VRC Melbourne Cup, MRC Caulfield Cup and

at the Inglis Broodmare Sale and has produced a filly by Smart Missile for her
new owners.
