Some
good horses have started their careers at Swan Hill such as multiple Group I
winners Elvstroem and Haradasun and while we're not suggesting this two
year-old is in that league, we do think he can win better races after bolting
in on debut on Monday.
Prepared by Wendy Kelly, Fast Cash jumped well and travelled just behind the
leaders before taking over with a furlong to run.
The son of Charge Forward accelerated sharply from that point opening up a gap to
win the 979 juvenile maiden by four lengths.
A modest $10,000 purchase for Ken King Thoroughbreds from the Limerick Lane Thoroughbreds
draft at the Inglis VOBIS Gold Sale, Fast Cash is bred to go fast as the first
foal of former brilliant two year-old The Loan Express (IRE).
An Irish bred daughter of Choisir, The Loan Express was placed in the Group II
Queen Mary Stakes at Royal Ascot and was also fourth in the Group I Phoenix
Stakes at The Curragh.
The current yearling colt by Snitzel from The Loan Express made $200,000 at
Inglis Easter when offered by Glastonbury Farm and snapped up by Shadwell
Australia making Fast Cash look particularly well bought.
The Loan Express has a weanling filly by Master of Design and is due to foal
again to Snitzel.
