First Winner for Mint Lane

Willow Grove Stud's young sire Mint Lane (USA) posted his first winner in Malaysia at the weekend.

Mint LaneTwo year-old Beyond Wealth won at his third start, jumping to the lead and winning easily by 2 lengths at The Perak Gold Vase meeting on 27th July.

This gelding who was sold by Willow Grove Stud at the Adelaide Magic Millions Sale for $28,000 on the last day and is from the Testa Rossa Mare Wings Of Alice.

At his first two starts he ran close thirds in large fields against 3YO's over 1300m, but back to 1200m and in a 2YO race, he won easily.

Another Mint Lane and stablemate After Me ran third in the same race.

A Group II winning son of Maria's Mon, Mint Lane has now had six runners for the winner and a further four placegetters.

He stands at a fee of $3,300.
