Four year-old Stratum gelding Straturbo was too tough for his opposition when taking on a good field at Canterbury on Wednesday over the 1100m.
Drawing a wide gate and forced to carry 60kg, Straturbo looked to be out of the race after 'burning' plenty of petrol to get across and sit outside the leader.
Upon straightening, Straturbo kicked and kept going, winning his 5th race for Elite Thoroughbreds.
Of his five victories, that was his third in town.
A $45,000 Magic Millions National Yearling purchase for us from the Widden Stud draft, Straturbo now joins our recent list of winners over the past few weeks in Testashadow,
Quelle Beaute and Stratacus who made it two in a row on Sunday.
Congratulation's to his great bunch of owners!
